Pioneer unveils colourful and budget-friendly micro hi-fi systems
New micro hi-fi systems add a touch of sophistication to any listening space.
10 July, 2012
Pioneer Europe introduces a new colourful micro hi-fi system combining vibrant sound with striking looks. Offered in a range of chic colours — deep black, pure white and black with a vibrant red or classy brown front panel — the X-CM31 adds a touch of sophistication to any listening space. Completing the 2012 micro system line-up, are the entry-level X-EM21, X-EM21V and X-EM11 that deliver great sound —and even DVD video for the X-EM21V— at a competitive price point.
The compact and convenient X-CM31 hi-fi system connects to a variety of sources. It integrates a digital dock on top for iPod/iPhone1, and offers support for iPad through USB. Video content can be routed to a connected display via the composite video output. Playback of MP3 or WMA files is supported from both the front USB input as well as from the hi-fi quality CD-drive mechanism, which is compatible with CD and CD-R/RW discs. Users who prefer listening to the radio can take advantage of a built-in AM/FM tuner2, which offers up to 40 station presets.
Key to the X-CM31’s performance is a set of 2-way bass-reflex speakers, working to deliver well-balanced sound. Offering 15 Watts of output per channel —driven by quality digital amplifiers— the micro system packs an impressive amount of functionality into its compact case. Those looking to add some extra bass will appreciate the X-CM31’s ‘P-Bass’ boost function and Sound Control (Bass/Treble). For easy genre-matching music enjoyment, the hi-fi system features 4 equaliser presets: Flat/Pops/Rock/Jazz.
Last but not least, Pioneer adds no less than three new budget-friendly micro systems to its line-up. These include the hairline finish X-EM21 with CD slot, iPhone/iPod dock, USB connectivity and FM tuner; the X-EM21V with DVD/CD system, iPhone/iPod dock, USB slot and FM tuner and the X-EM11 with CD tray, USB slot and FM tuner. All three new models feature a —for this class— high power output of 10W + 10W and guarantee easy operation with a front loading tray.
The X-CM31 will be available in four attractive colours from August 2012, followed by the X-EM11 in September and the X-EM21 and X-EM21V in October.
