TS-A Series: well balanced midrange and tweeter output (TS-A2013i)

With its new design concept and increased power handling, this line-up makes high quality audio through rock-solid bass and reliable power attainable for an MP3-oriented audience.

Our new TS-A speakers are based on the “Open & Smooth” concept, which is the result of years of interaction between Team Pioneer and our sound engineers. The idea was to offer a smooth transition of sound as well as good staging performance.

Incorporating this concept, TS-A speakers provide an optimal balance of extra-wide directivity, low distortion and frequency range in the tweeter, plus well balanced midrange and tweeter output (especially in the TS-A6913i, TS-A6913iS and TS-A2013i models with 57mm midrange speaker).

All models integrate a composite IMPP woofer cone reinforced with aramid fibres to provide the strength and rigidity that powerful bass sound requires. The high-density compressed internal architecture is resilient, stacks up against high power well and transfers sound quickly, allowing full bodied, rich sound with a midrange depth that conventional IMPP cones cannot match.

For more sensitivity and extended high frequency response, reducing moving mass was a major design criterion.

To offer greater installation flexibility the 17 and 20cm TS-A1713i, TS-A171Ci and TS-A2013i speaker models feature a shallower mounting depth, whereas a wide variety of adaptors guarantees easy set-up in any car. In order to guarantee bass performance, the cone diameter of the 17cm models has been enlarged to create a larger diaphragm effective vibration area.
