Our latest Blu-ray disc player, the BDP-LX71, arrives in Europe this summer.

The BonusView (profile 1.1) player incorporates the latest audio and video technologies, outperforming current desktop players in the market.

Taking advantage of HDMI 1.3a technology, the player brings you to the frontier of next generation entertainment with the most cutting-edge video processing available.

HDMI 12-Bit Deep Colour is newly implemented to deliver an unprecedented range of hues and shades; what you see is pristine, realistic imagery. With our 1080p HD digital film direct / 24 frames per second video output, the player offers smooth, true-to-the-original performance of film based Blu-ray Disc movies.

By preserving the feature film scene cadence in which Blu-ray Disc titles are authored and feature films are captured, you gain a natural, high quality movie viewing experience just as you would in the theatre.

The new player also includes our proprietary and advanced PureCinema Deinterlacer, which means that you can enjoy your DVD collection scaled up to a 1080p resolution for improved picture quality and compatibility with HDTVs.

The BDP-LX71 supports advanced audio formats with the ability to decode:

Performing in concert with KURO plasma TVs and the upcoming range of AV receivers such as the SC-LX71 or SC-LX81, the new Blu-ray Disc player completes the high definition home entertainment experience.

Its unique performance settings accurately reproduce subtle details, vivid colours and deep shadows when shown on KURO TVs. Connected to a new SC-LX71 or SC-LX81 AV receiver via HDMI, the BDP-LX71 perfects CD playback with the proprietary Precision Quartz Lock System (PQLS). This advanced feature synchronises music data coming from the Blu-ray Disc player to the receiver, providing music lovers with an affecting high-resolution listening experience.

Convenience in your hands
Thanks to exclusive chip set design and superior build quality, significant improvements in responsiveness have been made.

We have integrated the same graphical user interface look and feel as found on our KURO plasma TVs and new SC-LX71 or SC-LX81 AV receivers. You can also customise your viewing experience with the exclusive “video adjust mode” that includes predefined settings and allows manual adjustments of most image parameters.
