What to expect from us at CES

The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s largest annual tradeshow for consumer technology, began in Las Vegas, USA yesterday, running until the 11th January.

International Consumer Electronics ShowWe’ll be there (you can drop by Pioneer USA’s booth at stand 9827), exhibiting some of our newest products and technologies.

Although all of the products on display are American-specific models, release dates for European products will be
announced later this year.

Here are some highlights from our 2007 line-up on show at CES:

New plasma TVs that surpass LCD and SED; regardless of lighting conditions
Our 8th Generation plasma TVs feature a completely re-engineered display infrastructure, including a new panel, filter and application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC).

The result is a significant reduction in luminance levels so that the screen is able to produce the deepest black levels whilst still maintaining colour accuracy; regardless of the lighting conditions in your living room.

1080/24p Home Cinema: film as it was meant to be seen and heard
Our latest plasma TV, forthcoming Blu-ray Disc player and A/V receivers work together to handle the 1080/24p video format needed to preserve a feature films original sequence

We’re the only manufacturer with this trio of products that provide audio video enthusiasts the cinematic picture performance of 1080/24p in the comfort of their own homes. This means that you can soon experience sound and image quality as it was intended.

Combo Blu-ray disc computer drive
Our latest Blu-ray disc BD-ROM computer drive now also features enhanced DVD and CD writing and reading capabilities.

The new drive can play multiple Blu-ray disc formats, as well as provide high-speed reading and writing of DVD and CD formats.
