PDP-5000EX Selected as Europe's Best HD Plasma

The European Image and Sound Association (EISA), a jury of editors from 50 European consumer electronics magazines, has named the PDP-5000EX as ‘European HD-Component 2006-2007’.

EISA’s citation reads:

“Pioneer has made the market’s first 50-inch plasma display with full 1920 x 1080 progressive resolution, with pixels so small that they are almost invisible.


A contrast ratio of 3000:1 gives unsurpassed picture quality, even when viewing the screen from extreme angles.


With DVI, component and standard video inputs, as well as two HDMI inputs, you get all the connections you need. And you only need to hook a TV tuner and a set of loudspeakers to transform the Pioneer PDP-5000EX into a stunning TV set with impressing screen size of 50 inches.”
