I played some region 1 discs on my DVD-ROM drive and now I can not play my region 2 discs. What should I do?

Your drive is region locked.

All Pioneer DVD-ROM drives manufactured after 31 December 1999 can play discs from any region, but you can only change the region 5 times.

Once this limit has been reached, the drive is region locked and you cannot change it again. You may need to replace the drive if you want to play discs from a different region as the drive cannot be unlocked.
