FAQ - Navigation

When I re-installed my navigation system in another car, it did not work properly. What should I do?

When you re-install a navigation unit in another car, you need to reset the calibration values. Here’s how:

  • Go to MENU
  • Select SETTINGS
  • Select HARDWARE INFO
  • Select 3D CALIBRATION STATUS
  • Select DISTANCE and push CLEAR
  • Select SPEED PULSE and push CLEAR
  • Select CALIBRATION STATUS and push CLEAR

Should you still experience difficulties:

  • Check if the GPS antenna is properly connected and if the satellite reception is ok.
  • Clean the navigation disc carefully
  • Turn off the engine, take out the key and press the reset button of the navigation unit with a pointed object.
  • Check if the speed signal is properly connected.
  • If your navigation system came with a hideaway box, check to see that it is mounted in the right direction

If you still experience difficulties, please contact your local Pioneer office to find your nearest Authorised Service Centre, who will check and possibly repair your unit.
