Can I use banana plugs to connect my speakers to my receiver?

This is possible for certain models, but not recommended (we’d recommend using bare speaker wire, instead).

To connect standard 4mm banana plugs to the receiver, the black plugs in the middle of the speaker connector screws must first be removed. As shown below, the banana plugs can then be plugged directly into the speaker connector screw.
