FAQ - HDD & DVD Recorder
Which external hard disc can I connect to my DVR-940HX DVD recorder and what can I do with it?
You can connect an external hard disk to the DVR-940HX for video recording.
You can connect it to an eSATA HDD, found in specialised computer stores.
For copyright protection purposes, the external HDD cannot be used with any DVD recorder other than the one that was used to initialise it. If the HDD is connected to another DVD recorder (even of the same type), it will need to be re-initialised before use.
Connection of an external HDD to DVD recorders equipped with a USB connection is not supported.
