Can I record DVB-T on my DVD recorder from my PDP-435XDE or PDP-505XDE, by directly connecting via SCART?

In order to be able to record from digital or analogue channels of the onboard tuner, it is necessary to connect the recorder to either SCART input 2 or 3.

To record what is being displayed on screen you must select the correct input on the recorder (normally L1 or L2) and then press record.

This will record whatever channel is being displayed, but it is not possible to change to another channel as the recorder will record this change and begin recording the new channel.

If a timer recording is required and the screen is not needed on (i.e. recording a programme while out) then you need to use the EPG to set the time for a programme as well as the separate timer on your recorder to begin recording at the correct time and correct input channel (normally L1 or L2). When the programme starts, the plasma will output to the recorder but will not activate the screen (if it has been switched to standby). The recorder should record whatever the plasma is sending out.
