The A-70 amplifier comes with official AIR Studios Monitor certification. The AIR Studios seal of approval sets the sound-tuned elite apart from the crowd. High-Fidelity Class D Amplifier

The integrated amplifiers feature highly efficient Class D amplifiers, providing quick response for an improved audio performance. Using original parts and design to support effective operation, the components fully bring out the characteristics of Class D amplifiers, reproducing refreshing, pure sound with the subtle details exceeding what can be expressed by analogue amplifiers.

Direct Energy Amplifier

Pioneer’s “Direct Energy” concept is pursued to the utmost, featuring optimised power supply/output circuit blocks, as well as parts layout. The unit reproduces clearer sound with reduced distortion. The result is excellent signal transfer and high S/N ratio, with the performance to bring out the best musical reproduction from the integrated amplifier.

Power Amp Direct Mode

The A-30, A-50 and A-70 come equipped with a Power Amp Direct terminal, allowing them to be used as a power amplifier in a multi-channel setup.

Twin Transformers

Twin transformers are provided for the power amp and the pre amp, each shielded in separate blocks to ensure their integrity and reduce interference.

ESS SABRE³² 192 kHz/32-bit Audio DAC

The highly acclaimed 192 kHz/32-bit ESS SABRE³² Audio DAC delivers exceptional sound, with high signal-to-noise ratio and ultra-low distortion. It offers low-jitter performance for an astounding audio reproduction.

Rigid Under Base

The unit uses Rigid Under Base, our high-grade sound technology for 2-channel components to eliminate external vibrations. The solid, 4.6 mm-thick base provides a low centre of gravity with enhanced stability.

Three Chamber Construction

The analogue audio block and the main block are separated and insulated from one another by a three-chambered structure to prevent interference between the blocks. The result is improved operating characteristics, allowing accurate reproduction of even the most delicate signals.

Exclusive Electrolytic Capacitor

Our exclusive audio capacitor gauges the amplifier’s audio performance. Developed in collaboration with Nichikon Corporation, close to 20 prototypes were tested during the making of the A-70 to attain the highest possible quality. The inside of the capacitor case has a special form to eliminate standing waves.

Large Speaker Terminals

High-grade parts are used for the integrated amplifier’s terminals to provide a stable connection for pure sound delivery. The A-70 and A-50 feature machine-cut gold-plated brass speaker terminals, exclusive gold-plated input terminals, and a large AC inlet with polarity indication. All models come with large durable brass speaker terminals that can easily accommodate high-grade cables, and feature a resin base for additional safety.
