New Pro HD Video products: BD-Live Blu-ray player and HD video file system.

Two of our newest professional video products will be unveiled at InfoComm (Orlando, Florida) next week: the BDP-V6000: Professional Blu-ray disc player and the HD-V9000 Professional HD Video system.
Both systems provide robust, high-quality 1080p High Definition (HD) picture performance to manage an array of professional applications across venues including digital signage, museums, education, public display, and broadcast studios.
The BDP-V6000 is expected to begin shipping in September 2009, whereas the HD-V9000 will be available in Q1.
The BDP-V6000: one of the world’s first
The BDP-V6000 incorporates support for Blu-ray Disc and DVD media in both NTSC and PAL formats to provide playback compatibility with international standards.

Additionally, the player offers a range of features that make it intuitive to use including:
- Serial: RS-232C support allows systems integrators to control the player through any number of external devices.
- Enhanced Search Options: Users can navigate through a disc’s title, chapter and time code menus quickly and easily.
- Outputs 30 and 25 frames per second (fps): Supports playback of all BD titles that do not contain region codes from outside the player’s “home” region.
- Professional Graphic User Interface (GUI): A newly designed GUI provides improved player set-up, and internal playlist operation.
- BD Live Capability: 1GB of memory allows new video content to be downloaded to the player from BD-Live™ without having to remaster a BD disc while a USB 2.0 port supports external devices to expand BD Live storage capacity.
- Rack Mount Kit Included: Fittings for rack mounting are included.
The HD-V9000: Expanding HD Playback & Control
The HD-V9000 is a powerful HD video file system. It integrates four advanced control options, including stand-alone, IP addressable (embedded web server), RS-232C, and the HD-Pilot PC software program, that allow integrators to remotely update content, revise playlists, manage player settings and monitor performance.

The new HD-V9000 is a solid state storage device. Utilizing SDHC-Class 6 memory cards the system ensures improved reliability and flexibility for a variety of professional venues and applications including digital signage, museums and broadcast arenas. Since SD cards are removable, the new video file player can expand storage capacity and maintain its advanced performance well into the future.
The HD-V9000 provides the following key features:
- Superior HD Video: The HD-V9000 offers up to 80 megabytes per second (MBps) of video file playback for fast, high-quality performance.
- Advanced Control Solutions: The system is IP addressable and can be accessed through Pioneer’s HD Pilot PC software or its embedded web server supporting content updates and advanced system management.
- Standard Control Solutions : Pioneer’s standard RS-232C command protocol and simple switching matrix found on our Pro DVD players is also supported by the HD-V9000.
- Text Crawl & Image Overlay: User specified messages, RSS text feeds, and BMP graphics (such as logos) can be displayed over video content.
- Powerful Internal GUI : This internal player interface makes initial set-up straightforward and allows basic control in stand-alone settings.
- Ships with 16GB SD Card : A blank card is included with the player that can provide about 70 minutes of HD video content.
