New ‘G-Clef’ Audio Series: purity meets passion.

The 70W 2-channel A-A9MK2-K and 60W 2-channel A-A6MK2-K amplifiers are built to deliver music that is as close to the original as possible.

To achieve clean-cut sound, their improved non-feedback power supply circuit is combined with a low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) Capacitor. The rectifier circuit features parallel drive Schottky barrier diodes, creating quick response with low noise, for sound that is smoother and more powerful.

Twin transformers with very low magnetic leakage are built into the power supply, adding to the power and allowing an increased S/N ratio even at extremely low frequencies. Large Toroidal transformers are used for the A-A9MK2-K, and EI core transformers for the A-A6MK2-K.

The amplifiers’ Twin Mono Symmetrical Construction prevents signal interference by separating the left and right channels, which results in pure sound with an extensive sound field. Their Direct Construction allows the shortest and simplest design paths – from input to output, circuit block by circuit block – to reduce distortion that can be caused by transmission loss, as well as to improve sonic clarity.

Inspired by musical instruments, the resonance point of the bonnet is fixed to the chassis, decreasing natural oscillation. The A-A9MK2-K’s aluminium housing, rigid underbase construction and metal foot result in an even more stable bass reproduction. Its side and top panels are made of rigid aluminium, which works to eliminate unwanted vibration and provide a clear sound.

To provide listening pleasure for a broad spectrum of musical tastes, the A-A9MK2-K is designed to play everything from analogue records to the latest digital audio formats. The user can play PC audio files via the USB input terminal, with the Sound Retriever breathing life back into compressed audio formats. For vinyl fans the A-A6MK2-K comes equipped with an MM phono-equaliser and the A-A9MK2-K adds MC phono support.

Equally true to the ‘Pure Audio’ philosophy are Pioneer’s PD-D9MK2-K and PD-D6MK2-K Super Audio CD players. With a focus on quick response and open sound, both players are engineered to meet the rigorous sound standards set by the recording professionals at London’s famous AIR Studios.

The ‘open sound’ comes from the expertise of professional recording studios. Power supply response is sharply enhanced by integrating the non-feedback power supply circuit and low ESR capacitors with Schottky barrier diodes.

Legato Link Conversion PRO quadruples the sampling rate, for minimal phase shift across the entire audio frequency range, resulting in smooth and natural sound, whereas Hi-Bit technology expands the sound data length from 16-bit to 24-bit to provide clear, rich audio even from extremely small signals.

Twin R-Core Transformers in the PD-D9MK2-K and a new Lap Type Transformer in the PD-D6MK2-K increase quick response, while decreasing leakage flux. In addition, the PD-D9MK2-K features a rigid underbase construction and TAOC Hi-Carbon composite metal feet, providing added weight, stability and shielding.

The benefits of enhanced audio technology reach even further. Twin D/A converters – Wolfson for the PD-D9MK2-K and Burr Brown for the PD-D6MK2 - guarantee the purest digital to analogue signal conversion.

Direct Construction builds the shortest and simplest signal paths to keep noise and distortion at a minimum. The unique single-chip decoding of the DSD signals reduces the signal path length of the digital circuitry, creating noise-free sound. A crystal oscillator in both players produces extremely stable, low-jitter pulses, allowing it to serve as a precision master clock.

The minimal time-axis errors lead to the most accurate reproduction of sound imagery. The PD-D9MK2-K’s Sampling Rate Converter (SRC) re-samples the audio data and decreases jitter, while Isolated Power Supply Blocks ensure that each section of this player has its own power source, shielding it from electromagnetic interference.

Based on premium-quality components, the F-F6MK2-K and F-F3MK2-K audiophile tuners offer an enhanced sound quality with a flawless, stable and noise-free reception of 100 programmable FM/AM stations. The F-F6MK2-K automatically tunes to an additional 100 programmable DAB Digital Radio stations, providing a wider choice, crystal-clear audio and a more stable reception. With an ultra-high quality 192 kHz/24-bit digital to analogue converter, the F-F6MK2-K tuner provides extremely dynamic and sensitive audio output.

Both tuners come equipped with RDS Radio Text that will process the small amounts of text and data that are transmitted with the radio signal in order to display information about the programme or the music broadcast by the radio station.
