New Digital Speaker Systems for iPod
After debuting in the iPod speaker category last year with the XW-NAS5 and XW-NAS3 systems, this summer we broaden our offerings with three new multifunctional iPod speaker systems that unite refreshing design and innovative features.
The XW-NAC3 and XW-NAC1 iPod speaker systems will be available as from June 2010, followed by the XW-NAV1 in July.

The XW-NAC3 and XW-NAC1: two docking stations
The youthful-looking XW-NAC3 and XW-NAC1 come equipped with docking stations for two iPods or iPhones at once, featuring a “SHUFFLE2” function for mixed playback from both docked devices. The third new model in the line-up, the stylishly designed XW-NAV1 AV system, opens up a world of entertainment options.
On the one hand it’s a DVD player with 1080p HDMI upscaling, on the other hand it’s a multimedia machine that fulfils virtually every wish – from iPod and iPhone compatibility to FM radio and USB connectivity.

The XW-NAC1 (and NAC3) features Bluetooth functionality
XW-NAC3 and XW-NAC1
The XW-NAC3 and XW-NAC1 were developed to conveniently enjoy two music libraries with friends. They come with a “SHUFFLE2” function that allows tracks from both players to be shuffled and then cleverly mixed into a continuous playback.
The result is non-stop music with smooth transitions between songs for DJ-like listening. Those eager to quickly search through the tracks of one or both players simply have to push the Hi-Lite Scan button to get a 10 second preview of all tracks on either one or both docked iPods/iPhones.
With integrated Bluetooth functionality both units are ready for wireless reception of music files from Bluetooth enabled devices. Transmission-induced audio quality issues are overcome with Sound Retriever AIR, a quality improvement technology developed specifically for Bluetooth. It restores sound pressure and density that were reduced during the Bluetooth compression process and suppresses noise caused by the transmission.

The XW-NAC3: DLNA certified
Designed for iPod and iPhone users who want to enjoy their favourite songs in high quality, both systems integrate advanced audio technology to achieve pure, clear sound. They feature 6,6 cm Full Range speakers with 7,7 cm Passive Radiators for crisp full-spectrum audio with outstanding bass.
The XW-NAC3 and XW-NAC1 can recharge two iPods or iPhones at once and feature a composite video output for playback of video from the docked devices. They come equipped with a practical remote for easy control, leaving you in full command.
In addition, the top XW-NAC3 model offers internet connectivity via a LAN interface and is DLNA certified. When the device is hooked up to a home network with internet access, you will be able to enjoy internet radio or play back music from DLNA compliant home servers or PCs.
On top of the unit is a USB port for connecting USB mass storage devices to play MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV or FLAC files stored on it. Adding to the system’s versatility is a clock and timer with wake-up and sleep function.
The curved shape of both new NAC models is eye-catching to say the least. Though they can handle two iPods or iPhones, the units are compact in size yet great in sound. All models feature a white top/foot mould in combination with a coloured front jersey and matching rear panel. The XW-NAC1 is available in black, while the XW-NAC3 adds white and red as colour options.
XW-NAV1
For music and movie lovers who want the comfort of an all-in-one AV system, we have created the sleek and stylish XW-NAV1 digital media player. It features an iPod/iPhone dock, as well an FM tuner and CD/DVD player. Connected to a TV, the XW-NAV1 makes a compact home entertainment system suited for any room in the house.

The XW-NAV1: a world of entertainment options
With an HDMI output for DVD this multimedia hub offers high quality video, along with excellent audio through two Full Range speakers with Passive Radiators. Its advanced HDMI upscaling adds a new dimension to DVDs by creating 1080p levels of detail. In addition, video stored or streamed through the iPod can be watched on TV thanks to a composite video output on the rear of the XW-NAV1.
A USB port enables easy playback of WMA/MP3 music files, JPEG photos and DivX videos from a USB memory device. With the CD-to-USB ripping functionality it’s easy to record CD tracks directly onto USB without having to use a PC.
In terms of looks, the XW-NAV1 is a beauty, combining minimalist, clean lines with a contemporary black and white colour palette. It can be operated using the intuitive controls incorporated into the body of the system, or through its all-in-one remote.
