Digital media playback on the road with Pioneer's new in-car receiver

We expand our range of in-car entertainment products with the MVH-1400UB digital media receiver that provides the flexibility to enjoy music on the road without having to take CDs into the car.

This economically priced receiver is specifically designed for the sources which are used most – whether that's iPod, iPhone, USB or other portable music sources via Aux-in.

Pioneer's MVH-1400UB is a single DIN media receiver that produces solid 50W x 4 channel sound and supports playback of MP3, WMA and WAV music files. It offers complete flexibility when it comes to connecting extra amplifiers, speakers and subwoofers for those looking to add some extra power.

The MVH-1400UB's USB port is located directly on the front face of the receiver, making it easy to connect USB devices while driving. An Aux-in slot offers compatibility with any type of portable audio player, allowing the user to quickly and safely link an audio device to enjoy his selection of tunes.

With iPod and iPhone Direct Control, the user can connect his device straight to the MVH-1400UB's front USB terminal and enjoy superior sound, free from the static of an FM transmitter. As a handy extra, the iPod or iPhone will charge while connected.

A Wired Remote input enables direct connection from the receiver to the user's car's own steering wheel remote control, so he can control the tuner with the steering wheel remote control. The devices also feature a telephone mute connection which mutes the radio when a telephone is active.

Pioneer's new MVH-1400UB comes equipped with many of the same features found in high-end home receivers including high power output with the celebrated MOSFET 50W x 4 amplifier set-up for Pioneer's renowned powerful sound reproduction, Bass/Mid/Treble control and Advanced Sound Retriever (ASR) technology which restores any musical detail lost in the creation of compressed music files. Two high-volt pre-outs allow connecting an additional amplifier and subwoofer in case extra power is required.
