01 / Can I use MusicSphere if I don't have a NavGate product?

Yes. Once you’ve installed MusicSphere on your PC or Mac, you can create playlists that you can listen to on your PC, burn to CD, or transfer to your iPod/iPhone. You can also burn a CD from the Non-Stop Mix.

02 / Which NavGate products feature a dedicated MusicSphere interface?

The AVIC-F30BT, AVIC-F930BT, AVIC-F20BT, AVIC-F920BT, AVIC-F9220BT, AVIC-F9210BT.

03 / I have thousands of songs on my computer. How long will it take to have them analysed?

The track data that was already generated by another MusicSphere will be downloaded fast. If you are the first to analyse a track, it will typically take 15 seconds per track. If all your music is unique, it may take several hours to finalise the analysis. In that case, turn off automatic sleep mode on your PC – interrupting analysis is not recommended.

04 / Some songs seem to be in the wrong playlist. Why is that?

You might not have enough music in your library. MusicSphere will produce good results only if your iTunes has at least a few hundred tracks in it.

05 / The playlists from MusicSphere contain less than 25 tracks. Why is that?

You might not have enough music in your library. MusicSphere will produce full playlists only if your iTunes has at least a few hundred tracks in it.

06 / Some of my music is not analysed. Why is that?

MusicSphere can only analyse MP3, AAC, WAV, AIFF tracks. DRM protected music cannot be analysed.

07 / Why does it take so long to make a Non-Stop Mix?

The 25 music tracks for the mix must first be decompressed to allow the transition effects to be generated.

08 / What is the definition of "Edge" in the playlists?

The “sharpness” of the sound. E.g. a high Edge may correspond to a sharp electric guitar sound, a low Edge to an acoustic guitar.

09 / Why do the MusicSphere playlists have such strange names?

The naming of the MusicSphere playlists like [MSphere a01 Feeling Up_Beat] is designed to allow the NavGate software to recognise and display the playlists.
