The DV-In format supports two different audio signals - the original audio recording associated with the video footage as well as a separate audio signal, which can be added to the original footage.
The DV2 Stream Audio Downmix function allows you to merge the two audio signals - cutting and pasting the audio - as you wish. An example is if you add music to any existing camera footage.
