Linear PCM Recording
Simply put, Linear PCM Recording delivers great sounding audio to accompany the high quality picture.
PCM stands for Pulse-Code Modulation and is a digital representation of an analogue signal. When recording using one of the high quality record settings (FINE or MN32), the audio is recorded in uncompressed 16-bit/48 kHz Linear PCM format, resulting in quality audio output.
