Pionee BDP LX55 By Jaimes, United Kingdom on 06/01/2012
Very good unit for picture quality and features. I upgraded from the LX52 and was disapointed with the quality of the remote control compared to the LX52. That said its the only bad point about the unit. Its much faster than the LX52 and quieter too. One feature which I hope Pioneer will add would be for me to be able to use the "iControlAV2" app on my Iphone to stream music from the phone through to the BDP so it plays on my AVR. With the internet features available that shouldnt be to hard to implement.

What can say but OMG! I went for LX-52 as I've got the PDP 436XDE & thought they would be a good match. Nice & easy to set up & once contacted to the net up u/g the fromeware.
My 1st BD was (I hate to say) was Avatar. Was not a big fan of the film but I wanted to see how it looked. My jaw was on the floor for the full film (it was the extended verson) The picture was unblivalbe, great detail & the colours were so bright.
My 2nd was Star Trek (the J.J.Abrams verson) again great picture but the sound was great. I've got a Yamaha RX-V1500 av amp running with a Rotel RB-06 bridged amps) with The Chord Company Silver Plus HDMI lead & Ixos XHA606 interconnects.
Std. DVD's are also a lot better with great upscaning.
If you are looking for a bD player go for the 52. IT ROCKS!!!!!!!

The best blu-ray player I've owned By Gavin , United Kingdom on 04/02/2011
This product is premium in everyway and has the performance to match. I tried several different players but the pioneer just stood out from the crowd. Don't hesitate in owning one, you will not be disappointed.

BDP-LX52 - LX Series Blu-ray disc player By Anonymous, Czech Republic on 25/01/2011
Top-notch player, one small(ish) complaint... By Anonymous, United Kingdom on 21/01/2011
I am very pleased with this blu ray player, as it offers outstanding pictures and crisp, powerful sound from most discs played through it.
Blu ray playback is flawless and 1080p DVD upscaling is pretty much perfect for all the discs that I own. All in all, what we expect from Pioneer.
However, this player does seem to take it's time when it comes to DVD layer change. I know that this issue is nothing new, and some may not notice the delay depending on the disc being played back, it's authoring etc, but it is quite noticeable.
I still own (and use!) an 11 year old DV-717 (the BIG gold one) and although the layer change on that player isn't particularly fast, it is more seamless than on the LX52...
Anyway, small gripes aside, I am pleased with my new LX52. Even more so, because I paid about £200 less than its initial RRP.

LX52 Review By Anonymous, United Kingdom on 12/01/2011
What hi fi gave the LX 52 a 5 star review and I only paid £230. By Paul, United Kingdom on 10/01/2011
The LX 52 Blu ray player has excellent picture quality and the audio is also very crisp and sharp.Load times are better than other rival players. It's the ideal partner for my new 50" Plasma TV and Surround sound reciever. All in all I very please with my purchase.

I purchased the DBP-LX52 to replace my Sony DBP-S360 and what a difference it has made with superb sound and excellent picture quality either with Blu-Ray or DVD's.
I've matched the LX-52 with the Pioneer VSX-LX52 and it's even more outstanding than I could of hope for, nice one Pioneer.

Testsieger/ überragend in VIDEO 10/2009
Testzitate:
