The principal surround formats by DTS and Dolby are supported. The 4 satellite speakers, subwoofer and centre speaker are convenient in size and can easily be integrated in your living room. Connect the subwoofer for roaring bass.
8 Surround Modes calibrate your sound for different genres of content like Action, Sports, and Rock/Pop. Auto Surround automatically detects if a source is stereo or multi-channel.
HD content and portable music players
If you connect a Blu-ray player featuring HD audio decoding, you will be able to enjoy uncompressed audio tracks from the latest blockbusters. 
Up to 1080p (HD) video signals are supported, as well as x.v.Colour and Deep Colour for vibrant, lifelike colours with smooth gradient transitions.
When playing compressed music (e.g. from a portable music player) you are guaranteed an enhanced sound. The Advanced Sound Retriever 'upscales' the quality of compressed audio to closely match the original source. Together with Auto Level Control, this technology provides a dynamic and balanced sound.
