Uusi Kilpaluokan CD-soitin DEX-P99RS
The DEX-P99RS, our new competition-grade CD tuner, will be available across Europe from mid July.
Its elegant and clean design conveys dedication to audio purity. Purity delivered by integrated technologies, including:
- powerful D/A converters,
- 4-way DSP,
- a separate adjustment for crossover network,
- time alignment for left and right channels and
- complete frequency-band control that allows you to refine audio with new levels of precision.

The DEX-P99RS: competition-grade audio
With powerful playback of compressed tracks at near original fidelity, the DEX-P99RS offers flexible connectivity at a more affordable price.
The DEX-P99RS is designed to replace (and advance the performance of) the award-winning DEX-P90RS and DEQ-P90RS Pioneer CD tuner and processor package, which is highly popular with enthusiasts.

Black-brushed aluminium finish.
Its visual cues, comprising a high-quality plexiglass and black brushed aluminum finish with two large dials at either end and a three-line crisp OEL display, exude timeless elegance.
Looks are twinned to performance with the intuitive rotary commander enabling users to simply enjoy exquisite audio created by the latest innovations in car audio.
For instance, the DEX-P99RS includes four powerful 24-bit D/A converters to individually manage the High, Mid, Low and SW channels to deliver a superior dynamic range and quietness.
Ongoing advances to circuit and chip design mean that our renowned 4-way Digital Signal Processor (DSP) feature is now built in without the need for a separate blackbox. The DSP provides complete control of the signal processing and networking so you can optimise your sound system perfectly, depending on the car’s sound field.

Remote control with rotary commander.
Audio adjustment reaches unparalleled levels thanks to the inclusion of the new 4-way network. As before, it enables you to alter settings separately, including time alignment between speakers and left and right channels, for tweeter (HIGH), midrange (MID), midbass (LOW) and subwoofer (SW). But now, the new high-powered DSP chipset, originally developed for multi channel sound systems and unique to the DEX-P99RS, ensures that the entire frequency band in the 20Hz to 20kHz range is available in each adjustment band to intricately refine audio to your exact wishes and allowing any system configuration.
Meticulous attention to detail continues with the master clock. This original all-in-one high-speed circuit is the first of this performance to be integrated into a regular Pioneer head unit. It achieves unprecedented levels of sound reproduction, virtually eliminates jitter and enables faithful reproduction of sound from the original source. For CD playback, the system incorporates new dampers, fixed between the CD mechanism and upper chassis. These dampers significantly reduce interference from vibrations originating from the mechanism’s own spindle motor.
The DEX-P99RS also offers versatile connections. A wide range of audio players can be connected via the direct USB (cable supplied) input. The USB connection is connected straight with the DSP section, providing a better sound quality than regular USB head units, making it possible to play high quality lossless audio from you USB device along with a wide range of iPod models and the iPhone using the optional cable (CD-IB10II).
With iPods, music can be controlled from the head unit or the portable player itself. Compatibility includes WMA, MP3, AAC and WAV while an uprated version of our Sound Retriever puts the harmonics lost during compression back into your music, returning its depth and revitalising its quality.
The DEX-P99RS comes with a remote control with a rotary commander that mimics the way the main unit is operated. The control can be steering wheel mounted, while you can also choose from five colours to customise button illumination to match the DEX-P99RS’s fascia plate with your car’s interior.
Many of the key technologies included in the DEH-P99RS have been inspired by Pioneer’s top notch ODR Optical Digital Reference System, such as the chip sets used in the powerful DSP and D/A converters. The latest evolutions of these components allow advanced performance while simultaneously falling in cost. The unit is therefore way more affordable than Pioneer’s DEX-P90RS and DEQ-P90RS package – the current CD tuners of choice for audiophiles – and is specified to continue Pioneer’s and Team Pioneer’s quest for perfect in-car sound.
