De update-instructies downloaden

Om te controleren en installeren van een nieuwe firmware volg je de zes eenvoudige stappen hieronder:

1. Controleer de huidige Firmware Versie:

• Zet je DVD Recorder aan
• Selecteer "Home Menu"
• Selecteer "Initial Settings"
• Selecteer "Audio Out"
• Selecteer "Dolby Digital Out"
• Selecteer "Dolby Digital" en druk op de "9" knop op je afstandsbediening




• Vergeet niet dat het alleen nodig is om uw DVD-recorder te updaten als de FW versie lager is dan de versie die in de tabel staat.
• Om terug te keren naar de normale toestand van de DVR , druk je op de Home menu knop op de afstandsbediening.

2. Download de Update:

• Click op de filename in de tabel hierboven om de download te starten.
• Als de browser niet automatisch begint met het downloaden, moet je ervoor zorgen dat je browser of beveiligingssoftware is ingesteld op 'toestaan' om te downloaden van deze website.
• Je kunt ook rechts-klikken via je muis op de knop en kiezen voor 'Doel opslaan als'; om het download proces te starten.

3. Controleer de Firmware File

• Controleer de grootte van het bestand (zie tabel) van het firmware-bestand xxyyzz.zip door met de rechtermuisknop op het bestand te klikken en Eigenschappen selecteren. (Download weer als de grootte van een bestand onjuist is.)

4. Decomprimeer het bestand

• Zodra u het bestand heeft gedownload naar uw computer, zoek je het bestand op jouw harde schijf en dubbelklik op het bestand om het te decomprimeren. (Als u niet beschikt over een decompressie hulpprogramma op uw computer, dan kun je die eenvoudig gratis een downloaden.)

5. Maak de Update Disc

• Het is belangrijk om een goede kwaliteit lege CD-R disc of volledig gewist CD-RW-disc te grbuiken.
• Maak de update disc door de file naar een CD-R of CD-RW disc te kopiëren.
• Brand de gedecomprimeerd bestand naar de disc met behulp van disc-at-once-modus (2x speed) en ISO 9660 CD-ROM-bestandssysteem formaat. (De speler herkent de update disc niet en de update kan niet worden uitgevoerd wanneer het bestand niet correct is overgezet de disc.)
• Zorg er voor dat de disc sessie is afgesloten / afgerond.

6. Update recoder.

• Update de firmware door gebruik te maken van de CD-R of CD-RW disc die de firmware file bevat.
• Voer de update van de procedure uit zoals die is bepaald in de PDF DVD Recorder Update instructies.
• Note: Schakel de stroom en/of de recorder niet uit. Verwijder de disc niet terwijl de update wordt uitgevoerd.

The Gracenote database allows your Pioneer Hard Disk Recorder to identify album, song, and artist names. Updates to this database are released periodically, and can be updated by downloading and installing this latest update.

This update is applicable for:

• DVR-LX70D
• SDVR-LX70D - LX01
• DVR-LX61
• DVR-LX61D
• DVR-560HX
• DVR-560H

You'll only need to update your DVD Recorder if the Gracenote version is lower than "1954" (below is an explanation of how to check which Gracenote vesion you have).

To download the files and install the update, follow the instructions below:

1. Check your current version of the Gracenote database

• Switch on your DVD Recorder
• Select "Home Menu"
• Select "Setup"
• Select "Initial Setup"
• Select "Options2"
• Select "Gracenote Database"
• Select "Version Information"
  
  
  
  
• Remember, you'll only need to update your DVD Recorder if the Update Level is lower than "1954".
• To return the DVR to its normal operating state, press the Home Menu button on the remote control.

2. Download the Update

If your browser does not automatically start the download process, be sure that your browser or security software is set to allow downloading of files from this web site. You can also right-click the file name and select "Save As" to start the download process.

3. Create the Update Disc

Burn the file (name: "TFDupdateDB1954.bin" – size: 27,9 MB) to a recordable CD-R or CD-RW using a CD burning program.

• It is important to use a good quality branded blank CD-R disc or completely erased CD-RW disc.
• Burn the file to the disc using disc-at-once mode (2x Speed) and ISO 9660 CD-ROM file system format. (The player will not recognize the update disc and the update cannot be performed if the file is not burned correctly to the disc.)
• Make sure that the disc session is closed / the disc is finalised.

4. Update your DVD Recorder

Before you start the actual update make sure to check the remaining space on the HDD. (DISPLAY button on the remote). When the remaining space drops to under 1 hour in the SP recording mode, delete some titles stored on the HDD.

Update the Gracenote database

• Insert the update disc and wait until the disc is loaded
• Select "Home Menu"
• Select "Setup"
• Select "Initial Setup"
• Select "Options2"
• Select "Gracenote Database"
• Select "Database Update"
• Select ‘Yes’ to confirm or ‘No’ to cancel

Note: Do not turn off or disconnect power, or remove a disc while the update is in progress. Depending on the state of the DVD Recorder the update will last between 1 to 15 minutes.
