17cm Reference Series Mid-bass Driver

A higher sound philosophy.

This skilfully-crafted mid-bass driver was designed for faithful reproduction of the overall sound spectrum, with extra emphasis on a solid, full-bodied character for the low-mid range.

For more accurate reproduction of the original sound, the rigid pulp-based composite cone delivers exquisite sound quality with high linearity. The Diamond Like Carbon-coated titanium centre cap with ion plating enhances rigidity and reduces resonance.

With improved detail, it ensures a better tone matching with other RSII speakers. In order to increase the mid-bass ability, a new corrugated surround design has been integrated. Cone movement can be expanded without increasing resonance.

Additional driving force is also part of the design, thanks to the high-performance magnetic circuit - which gives excellent linearity from the mid-low to high frequencies.

Finally, the resonance-resistant tungsten holder and full-basket zinc frame are connected at 5 points to eliminate vibration and interference between structures.
