FAQ - Car Audio

Can I connect an iPod on the front of my car stereo or navigation unit?

Depending on which car stereo or navigation unit you have, you can play audio (and even video) from your iPod. We have multiple connection options:

  • If your car stereo or navigation unit has an auxiliary in, you can plug in (via the headphone connection) of your iPod.
  • Some of our car stereos also have a dedicated input for your iPod®; by using an optional cable, you can connect your iPod directly.
  • Our navigation systems offer a range of connectivity options. You can easily connect your iPod® using one of our iPod® connection cables.
  • Alternatively, if you have an IP-Bus enabled car stereo or AV unit (and you’ll know if you do when the product code contains the letter ‘P’ before the numerals; (for example DEH-P4100SD is IP-Bus enabled, whereas DEH-110E is not), you can use our CD-IB100-II iPod® Adapter.
