Pioneer DJ at the BPM Show: Win a Set at BPM 2010

This year BPM is hosting an extra day for colleges and schools to visit BPM and experience electronic music in all it's forms. Pioneer is pleased to announce that it will be pulling out all the stops to help young people engage with DJing and DJ equipment. On Monday 4th October the Pioneer stand will host tutorials and demonstrations on the basics of DJing and inside industry advice for the up and coming generation who wish to pursue a career in DJing or the music industry.

1. The Promotion: entitles a registered YouTube (www.youtube.com) user who uploads a qualifying "Video Response" (the "participant") to be entered into a competition to win a DJ set (the "prize") at the BPM Show 2010 (www.visitbpm.com).

2. The Prize: The DJ set prize consists of:
- Entrance for 2 people to the BPM Show 2010, at the NEC, Birmingham.
- One 30 minute DJ set on Saturday 2nd October and one 30 minute DJ set on Sunday 3rd October, to take place on the Pioneer stand at the BPM Show 2010, at the NEC in Birmingham.
- £100 (One Hundred Pounds) spending money to cover any and all expenses (including travel expenses) arising from the prize.
- Overnight accommodation near to the NEC, Birmingham, if the winner is living over 100 miles away from the NEC, Birmingham.
- Tickets for 2 people to the Pioneer BPM after party, taking place at the Sanctuary, Birmingham (Only winners aged 18+ can take advantage of these tickets).

3. Participants: must be aged 16 or over and residents of the UK. Only one application per household will be accepted for this promotion. If multiple "Video Responses" are uploaded to YouTube, only the last one with be entered into the competition and judged.

4. Start Date: 23rd August 2010.

5. Closing Date: 4pm (GMT) on the 20th September 2010, submissions after this deadline will be disregarded from the competition.

6. How to qualify: participants must upload their video as a "Video Response" to this video (by YouTube user "EllaSkins" or "EllaSkinz") on YouTube (www.youtube.com) by the Closing Date (above). The video must:
- be 10 minutes in length, +/- 1 minute each way.
- contain a selection of musical tracks mixed together.
- at least one piece of hardware used to mix the tracks must be made by Pioneer. This can include headphones, mixers, decks or effectors which must be visible in the video.

After the closing date a winner will be chosen by a Panel of Judges including Pioneer Staff and Independent Judge Johnathan Lewis, who will base a decision on their opinion of the skill employed by the participant. The Panel of Judge's decision is final, and no discussion will be entered into. The winner will be notified via YouTube message within 4 days of the closing date (above) and invited to accept the prize. The winner must reply to the message within 3 days. Failure to respond within this time will invalidate the offer of the prize.

7. Responsibility: to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law (but not otherwise) Pioneer and their agents assume no responsibility and are not liable for entries delayed in transmission or not received; the availability, loss/late receipt of the prize or any other communication, fees, charges or other costs which participants may be required to pay at any time in connection with this promotion or any other factors outside the reasonable control of Pioneer or its agents.

8. General: all instructions relating to this promotion form part of the terms and conditions. This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other Pioneer promotion. Pioneer’s decision in the exercise or interpretation of any rights or discretion in connection with these terms and conditions shall be final and binding. By participating, participants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these rules and to their interpretation under English law. There are no cash alternatives to this promotion. The prize is subject to availability. Pioneer may in its absolute discretion substitute or offer an alternative item of equal or greater value.

9. Data Privacy: The data supplied by participants will be used by the Promoter and/or its agents for the purpose of processing the promotion and fulfilling the obligations of the Promoter, additionally the winners name and location will be communication in promotional materials around the promotion.
