Unveiling of Project X (Vito Sport) provides the Soundtrack to Silverstone

 

Despite the miserable weather thousands of fans flocked to TRAX 2011 on Sunday at Silverstone. With an amazing atmosphere, the air smelling of high-octane fuel and bacon butties, the day was set for an explosion of fast cars and award winning showcases.

Pioneer GB welcomed hoards of people to their stand and was thrilled to unveil Project X to the public, the ultimate DJ van with Pioneer's world record holding Sound Pressure Level in-car entertainment products in partnership with Mercedes-Benz. The Project-X vehicle is based around a special edition Mercedes-Benz Vito 122 CDI Sport-X Dualiner model with BRABUS modification. Inside, the stunning vehicle features almost £25,000 worth of Pioneer kit; there are two 15” competition class SPL subs and four 10” Champion Series subs to ensure a consistently clear, powerful and wide-ranging bass response. The vehicle also comes complete with two Pioneer CDJ-350s and DJM-350 mixer, which combined offer the perfect party set-up! The total system features no less than eight independent amplifiers using four batteries and a 300amp power supply, with a speaker power handling capability at a staggering 30,050 watts!

The Vito is powered by a range-topping turbo-charged 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine, producing 224hp and 440Nm, reaching 60mph in just 8.3 seconds with a maximum speed of 122mph.

Alongside ProjectX, Pioneer also showcased four fully kitted out cars including a a special edition DJ set up smart BRABUS and two Subaru Pro- R's! The line up was completed with a Honda Civic Replica British Tour Car in support of Pioneer's sponsorship of the Honda Racing Teams assault on the 2011 Dunlop MSA British Tour Car Championship!


TRAX AUDIO SYSTEM PRIZE DRAW

Pioneer's prize draw to win £500 worth of in car entertainment (including a MVH-8300BT head unit, TS-171CI speaker and a TS-W309S4 sub) received over 500 entries!
