Enjoy your DVDs, too – the BDP-LX55 will upconvert DVD video to near HD-quality. From CD, USB and through LAN you can play popular compressed media formats such as MP3 and DivX Plus HD.
Sound Retriever Link and Stream Smoother Link will enhance compressed audio/video files when used in combination with our matching AV Receivers.
BD-Live, YouTube, DLNA and Picasa
Via LAN (optional WiFi converter available), you get access to network features such as BD-Live, watching YouTube and pictures and playback from a PC or network media server (connected to the same LAN and featuring multimedia content server functionality). You can also control with you smartphone or tablet with iControlAV2 for Android and iPod touch / iPhone / iPad.
Our unique PQLS ensures jitterless transmission of uncompressed 2-channel or multi-channel LPCM, and also bitstream audio over HDMI to compatible Pioneer AV receivers.
