Download the update instructions

Here you will find the latest firmware update for the:

• KRP-600A
• KRP-500A
• KRP-500ABG
• KRP-500AW
• KRP-M01 Separate Media Receiver

1. Check the current Application

• Switch on you unit
• Select “Home Menu”
• Select “Set up”
• Select “System set up”
• Select “Technical info”
• You should see: Software version: 09xx-xx01

If the version displayed is 0908-0601 or higher, then your product is equipped with the latest version and there is no need for any upgrade.

2. Download the Update

If your browser does not automatically start the download process, be sure that your browser or security software is set to allow downloading of files from this web site.

Alternatively please contact your local Pioneer office to receive a copy of the file.

3. Check the Software File

Check the file size (see table) of the downloaded firmware file PDP_KRP_M01_MAINDTV_FW0908-0601.zip by right-clicking on the file and selecting Properties. (Download again if the file size is incorrect.)

4. Decompress the file

Once you have downloaded the file to your computer, locate the file on your hard disk drive and double click the file to decompress it. (If you do not have a decompression utility installed on your computer, you can easily download one for free.)

5. Create the Update USB Portable Memory

Make sure you use a blank USB memory device which is formatted in FAT or FAT32 format.

Copy the unzipped folder “update” into the USB memory device's root directory. DO NOT change the names of the files or folder.

Note that you can only use the USB memory device 1 time to perform an update. When you have to update another unit, you have to format the USB memory device and re-install the “update” – folder.

6. Update the Software of your Flat screen

Use the attached update instructions to update your unit.
